I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal at Jacksonville High School for the 2023-2024 school year. After working with the educators, students, parents, and community members of Jacksonville last year, I have gained an appreciation for the deep traditions and pride surrounding Onslow County, and I am overjoyed to continue to serve as a part of the Cardinal staff this year.

After completing my undergraduate degree in mathematics education from Northern Illinois University, I began my career in the suburbs of Chicago, teaching mathematics and coaching cheerleading at West Aurora High School. I went on to attain a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration followed by an Education Specialist Degree from Northern Illinois University. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate Degree in Educational Administration at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Prior to coming to Jacksonville High School, I served as a Dean of Students at West Aurora High School and later as an Assistant Principal at Lompoc High School on the central coast of California. My husband's military career allowed us to spend two years in Okinawa, Japan, where I taught mathematics at Kadena High School before settling here in Onslow County. My love of education and time spent as a teacher, coach, and administrator has allowed me to gain experience and knowledge of working with a diverse student population, and I pride myself on my student-centered approach to education. Outside of school, I enjoy spending my time traveling, golfing, and going to the beach with my husband and two young children.
